N2 - The authors regret an error in Equation (3) in the manuscript. The equation incorrectly included a square root term when it should not. The corrected equation is as follows: [Formula presented] This error does not affect any results in the manuscript. Although the equation was written incorrectly in the methods, the equation is correct in the MATLAB code used to analyse the microindentation data. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
