N2 - In Table 4 (page 508), the values for total milk DMI, total starter DMI, total ME, CP and fat intake, and BW gains in relation to these measures were mistakenly calculated based on intakes from d 21 to 68. The revised version of this table (below) shows gains and intakes from d 7 to 68. This change means that BW gain/ME (kg of BW/Mcal) is now significant. The values presented for total milk DMI in the Milk section of the results (page 507) should now read: “Total milk DMI, as expected, also increased with milk allowance (e.g., 37.2 vs. 20.7 kg of DM for calves fed 12 and 6 L/d respectively).” The Growth and Feed Efficiency results (page 509) should read: “We observed an effect of treatment on BW gain/ME intake, but not on any other feed efficiency measures (gain:feed ratio, BW gain/CP intake) during the experimental period.” Finally, in the discussion of Growth and Feed Efficiency (page 510), the paper should now read: “In our study, we only found differences between treatments in the kg of BW gain/Mcal of ME intake. The authors regret the errors.
