Page 8, line 25-31: “It is evident that the total surface area of the electrode made from porous ACs increases generally with the increase of the compressive stress if the ratio of the ϕ/d remains relatively unchanged and there is no closure of pores. Increasing the total surface area leads to the increase of the active sites available for the accumulation of ions on the surfaces of the pores and AC spheres. Note that a large compressive stress can cause the closure of pores, likely leading to the decrease of the surface area and the increase of the conductivity.” should be “Note that ϕ/d is a function of the plastic strain. Expanding ϕ/d in the Taylor series to the first order of the plastic strain and using the relation between the plastic strain and the compressive stress, we have S/S0 = d00(1+μσα). Here, μ represents the compression effect on the total surface area of the porous ACs.” Page 8, Eq. 8: “[Formula presented]” should be “[Formula presented]”.
