Abstract

Static and dynamic electric moments of 23Na were determined by Coulomb interaction of aligned 23Na with 120Sn and 208Pb. Aligned 23Na projectiles in conjunction with a γ-ray calorimeter were used. Angular distributions at backward angles were determined for: second-rank tensor analyzing powers T20 for elastic and quasielastic scattering (sum of elastic and inelastic scattering to excited states of 23Na), cross sections and T20 for inelastic scattering to the first and second excited state of 23Na, cross section and T20 for excitation of 120Sn to its first excited state. They were used to deduce various static and dynamical moments.
