N2 - Levels in Os186 populated in the decay of 1.7-h Ir186 have been studied by high-resolution γ-ray singles and γ-γ coincidence spectroscopy. Many γ rays have been assigned to this decay and several new levels in Os186 have been established. On the basis of the observed decay properties and level systematics, a spin-parity assignment of 2- and the Nilsson configuration {32+[402]π, 72-[503]ν} are suggested for 1.7-h Ir186. RADIOACTIVITY Ir186 (1.7-h isomer) [from Os186(p, n)]; measured Eγ, Iγ, γ-γ coin; deduced logft. Os186 deduced levels, J, π. Enriched target, Ge(Li) detectors.
