Abstract

Basic problems on structured organic particulate systems relevant to pharmaceutical technology have been developed for integration into the engineering curricula. Educational topics include fundamental units of measure and conversion factors, material and energy balances, fluid mechanics, and applied mathematics. These educational materials will increase student interest in research and development in the pharmaceutical industry by introducing students to basic pharmaceutical engineering concepts within the framework of existing courses.
