Abstract

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) is the classification of psychopathology developed under the authority of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). The current version of this nomenclature is DSMIV-TR (APA, 2000). Work is now proceeding on the next edition, DSM-5 (Regier, Narrow, Kuhl, & Kupfer, 2010). DSM-5 is expected to be published in 2013.
