N2 - Metal transfer is an important factor in welding process. It can affect the formation and quality of weld. In order to study metal transfer characteristics during dual bypass GMAW (DB-GMAW) process, many kinds of edge extraction algorithms were used to process the necking images of DB-GMAW metal transfer. The edge extracting results show that ZeroCross differential operator is the best. And it can process successive images of DB-GMAW metal transfer successfully.
