Funding
Oishi Sanyal is the Wayne and Kathy Richards Faculty Fellow and assistant professor in chemical engineering at West Virginia University. She got her Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Manipal University (India) and her doctoral degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University. She was a postdoctoral researcher at Georgia Institute of Technology before her current position. Her research focuses on developing new membrane materials and manufacturing strategies for liquid and gas separations. Her work has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed journal publications and conference presentations. Her research has earned her important recognitions such as the US National Science Foundation CAREER (2024) Award and the ASME Rising Stars of Mechanical Engineering (2024) Award.
