Abstract

There was a scoring error when calculating mean perception of child vulnerability (PPCV) prior to the completion of the analyses for Objectives 1 and 2. In the original article, it was reported that there was a significant increase in maternal PPCV over time. The corrected results show a decrease over time for both parents (mothers: MT1 = 2.04, MT2 = 1.91; fathers: MT1 = 2.03, MT2 = 1.92), as is expected developmentally. For mothers, this decrease was statistically significant, t(93) = 3.47, p < .01. However, this decrease was no longer significant when the effect of child age was considered (mothers: F(1, 92) = .70, p = .41; fathers: F(1, 62) = .05, p = .82). There remained no significant differences between mothers and fathers on PPCV at Time 1 (t(93) = -.74, p = .46) or Time 2 (t(64)=-1.15, p = .26).
