Abstract

Insulin resistance (IR) is a growing problem in the united states. exercise is an effective treatment in the management of ir through enhanced insulin sensitivity, increased skeletal muscle glucose uptake, and improved b-cell function. additionally, exercise may positively modify comorbidities often associated with ir.
