Abstract

Based on the fast multipole method and the T-matrix formulation, an efficient approach is presented in this paper to reduce the operation count of matrix-vector multiplications in the conjugate gradient iterations to solve a hybrid (surface-volume) integral equation for a dielectric coated metallic scatterer.
