Abstract

Hyperfine transition rates for light muonic atoms was measured using neutron detectors to analyze the time dependence of muon capture. The analysis was performed for sodium, aluminum, phosphorus, chlorine and potassium. The hyperfine transition rate for 19F (fluorine) was found to be more accurate than previous measurements. The results for elements with hyperfine effect were fitted to two different functions with a single error and a double error respectively.
