N2 - The contribution to the hyperfine splitting of order α2(Zα)EF, generated by the polarization operator insertion into the radiation photon line, is calculated. It turns out to be -0.310742...·[α2(Zα)/π]EF, thus giving -0.17 kHz for muonium and -0.054 kHz for hydrogen.
