Abstract
This study assessed whether conformity to masculine norms was associated with psychological wellbeing among 117 college-attending veterans and active-duty service members, and the extent to which hardiness mediated that relationship. Results indicated that greater conformity to masculine norms was associated with lower psychological well-being (r= -.31, p <.001), with hardiness fully mediating that relation.
