Abstract

A novel discrete model for fracture modeling of general anisotropic solids was presented. Similar but distinct from other discrete models, the presented discrete model uses lattice rotation to represent material orientation in fracture modeling of general anisotropic solids. Numerical examples established the accuracy and efficiency of the discrete model.
