Abstract

Microscopic superelastic behaviour of a nickel-titanium alloy was investigated under complex loading conditions. The investigation was done with instrumented identation experiments using both spherical and pyramidal diamond indenters. The analysis showed that indentation-induced superelasticity exists under both spherical and pyramidal indenters.
