Abstract

A-B-C type triblock copolymers with the different structure(the type of B segment, the chain length of B, C segment, the order of segments) were synthesized and their efficiency as a gene carrier was evaluated by preparing the polyion complex micelles with plasmid-DNA. The triblock copolymers having B segment with a buffering capacity show the high transfection efficiency. But the A-C-B type triblock copolymer does not show the high efficiency.
