Abstract

This is a brief review of the basic cellular anatomy, physiology, and clinical aspects of muscle tone. A concise overview of the cellular anatomy and physiology will be discussed to illustrate the basic fundamentals of muscle tone. Building on this overview, the clinical syndromes of altered muscle tone and some of the common treatments will be discussed.
