Abstract
The application and interview process for an academic job can seem like a daunting task but, as I note at the beginning of the chapter, with adequate preparation you can help make the ideal situation a reality. By being organized and prepared and by doing adequate homework, you can find a job that fits well with your skills and career aspirations. The suggestions in this chapter will hopefully give you a jumpstart on this important dimension of your career development in psychology.
