Abstract

Radiative corrections to hyperfine splitting of relative order α²(Zα) induced by polarization insertions in external photons are obtained. The new contribution turns out to be [ α²(Zα) π]{- 4 3ln²[ 1 2(1+√5)]- 20 9 √5ln[ 1 2(1+√5)]+ 608 45ln2+ 1 9π²- 38 15π+ 91639 37800} in Fermi hyperfine splitting energy units.
