Abstract

This study was focused on examining the relationship between newborn Apgar scores and delivery accommodations. A medical record review was conducted using stratified systematic sampling on 361 subjects delivered in either an in-hospital birthing room or a traditional delivery room. Findings indicated that no systematic relationship existed between delivery accommodations, gravidity, parity, age, race, smoking, and Apgar scores.
