Obstetric hemorrhage

Abstract

Obstetric hemorrhage is a common peripartum complication. The anesthesiologist must have the ability to identify the various causes of obstetric hemorrhage and understand obstetric and anesthetic management. Resuscitation of the parturient experiencing hemorrhage is frequently the responsibility of the anesthesiologist.
