Abstract
The operating guidelines for coal spiral circuits are discussed. Spiral circuits serve as a low-cost method to recover fine coal. By avoiding problems such as poor feed distribution, improper solid and liquid flow rates, incorrect splitter settings and poor circuit layout, plant operators can easily optimize spiral circuits.
