Abstract

We have investigated the optical spectroscopic responses of doped SrTiO3. We identified systematic changes of optical spectra with doping: the Drude response appears, leading to significant change of far-IR reflectivity, and the charge-transfer excitation feature around 4 eV is drastically suppressed. These behaviors originating from electron doping to a band insulator are discussed in relation to intriguing behaviors of doped SrTiO3 reported recently.
