Abstract

With a diagnosis of exclusion, the goals of evaluation for painful bladder syndrome are to verify that the bladder is indeed the organ causing the symptoms and to rule out any other pathology that may be responsible. Options for treatment include oral agents, intravesical therapy, and surgical therapy, which are used alone or in combination.
