Patella dislocation: Recognizing the injury and its complications

Abstract

This case study describes an athlete who had a patella dislocation and stresses the importance of considering osteochondral fractures in the diagnosis. The authors offer tips for a careful physician exam and radiographic series that will lead to an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
