Abstract

This book utilizes an experiential learning approach to actively engage readers in their own assessments and development of strategies for success. Providing support for those who have experienced some ups and downs in their post-secondary careers, this book is for those who are frustrated by their academic performance and need more than an Introduction to Study Skills text. Encouraging the reader to take an active role in reflecting on past experiences, exploring new ideas, and discovering successful personal strategies, this book is divided into five "pieces:" Assessing Yourself and Your Environment; Balancing Your Life; Lifelong Learning; Succeeding at School; and Living in an Academic Culture.For anyone interested in improving retention skills and increasing academic success.
