Plant propagation techniques: A historical perspective

Abstract

A description of plant propagation techniques in ancient times was presented. The primary mode of propagation now as in ancient times is by seeds description of grafting and budding are found in all the early important works that deal with agriculture. It is also written that budding is preferred to grafting for most fruit trees.
