Abstract
Angular distributions of differential cross sections and complete sets of tensor analyzing powers were measured for elastic and inelastic (120Sn(2+)) scattering of polarized 6Li from 120Sn at ELi=44 MeV. Using cluster-folding model potentials the experimental data were analysed by means of coupled-channel calculations. The result for first-rank tensor analyzing powers depends crucially on the choice of the deuteron-target spin-orbit potential used as input into the cluster-folding model. To a large extent the vanishing second-rank tensor analyzing powers are due to a vanishing second-rank tensor deuteron-target potential.
