Abstract
A method is proposed to construct multiple functional inverter power sources capable of arc welding and plasma cutting, a capability that would reduce costs throughout the welding industry. Experiments conducted using a developed prototype verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach and give a glimpse of a possible future for power-source technology.
