Abstract
We deduce from spin-triplet meson masses that meson sizes are inversely proportional to the square root of the qq̄ reduced mass. Two semiempirical quark-model mass formulas are obtained which accurately reproduce certain baryon masses. They contain different assumptions concerning relative baryon sizes. Their mass coefficients are used to determine absolute meson sizes and certain meson masses with surprising success.
