Abstract

Measurements of the critical temperature Tc (n, P) as a function of Ce concentration n and pressure P ≤ 20 kbar are reported for the reentrant superconductors (La1 - nCen)Al2 and (La0.8Th0.2)1 - nCen. No evidencce was found for a third transition back to the superconducting state. Monte Carlo calculations including strong electron-phonon coupling may explain our experiments, although the effects of interimpurity interactions remain uncertain.
