Abstract
This chapter reviews studies examining the link between various sleep parameters and attachment across the lifespan. It considers various plausible conceptual frameworks that might explain relations between the two domains, and suggests directions for future research. Although the chapter focuses on relations between attachment and sleep in infancy and childhood, attachment relationships are important throughout adulthood. Therefore, relations between sleep and attachment among adults are also reviewed for a more comprehensive coverage of the topic.
