Abstract

A number of recent papers have treated the question of consecutive k-out-of-n failure systems. All have assumed the components to be independent and most have assumed them to be identically distributed. In this paper, the Markov chain approach of Griffith and Govindarajulu is employed to study some realistic generalizations of these systems.
