Abstract

As a result of a cooperative effort between the Denver Water Dept. , the University of Colorado at Boulder, and the EPA Region VIII Drinking Water Branch, experiments were conducted to assess a modified tentative Standard Method for the recovery efficiency of poliovirus from a 1 MGD direct potable reuse demonstration plant effluent. Upon completion of the series of 6 repeat experiments, the percent recovery of this new modified tentative standard method was determined. A recovery of 31. 9% plus or minus 6. 9% was attained.
