Abstract

We propose a method to determine stability for multi-product production systems that use replenishment signals and may have sequence dependent setups. A network of nodes representing machine states is used to find a non-starving trajectory for the production system via an iterative procedure. A method is presented that determines suitable inventory levels that ensure all future inventory levels remain positive. An algorithm was also implemented to calculate the non-starving trajectory regions.
