Abstract

The X-ray crystal structure of [Me2Ga(tBuNH2)2]Br (1) has been determined. The compound was prepared in a 51% yield via the reaction of t-BuNH2 with Me2GaBr in Et2O solution. The solid state of 1 consists of [Me2Ga(tBuNH2)2)+ cations and bromide anions. The gallium cation adopts a highly distorted tetrahedral geometry with Me(1)-Ga-Me(2) and N(1)-Ga-N(2) angles of 121.5(5) and 95.6(3)°, respectively.
