Abstract

The laser synthesis technique of the ceramics has been employed to synthesize a novel WO3/Fe2O3 catalyst for metathesis of olefine under nonequilibrium condition. The results reveal that the synthesized catalyst is composed of Fe3O4, FeWO4 and WO3. The catalyst is porous with the size of its composition phases in the order of micrometer, the Fe3O4 phase in the catalyst contains W atoms as impurity. These W atoms in the Fe3O4 phase have a valence lower than +6, and are the active sites of the catalyst for the metathesis of olefine.
