N2 - Venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (Va-ECMO) has become an established modality to provide cardiopulmonary support due to postcardiotomy cardiogenic shock or myocardial infarction. We herein describe its expanding indications in management of patients with myocarditis from trauma and sepsis. a young male with fulminant necrotizing fasciitis following trauma to the right lower limb developed complications of septic cardiomyopathy and thereby intraoperative cardiac arrest while preparing for surgical debridement. We successfully managed to salvage his limb and life using Va-ECMO and a multidisciplinary team-based approach.
