Abstract

A new compound, 1,3-bis(4,5-dihydrothiazole) benzene was synthesized by refluxing benzene-1,3-diamidoethanethiol (BDETH₂) in toluene in the presence of trimethylaluminum. The compound was characterized by IR, NMR, Mass spectroscopy, Elemental Analysis, and X-ray crystallography.
