Abstract

The diarsadigalletane [1BuGaAsC6H3(CH2NMe2)2] (1) has been prepared by treatment of [1BuGaCl2]2 with Li2AsC6H3(CH2NMe2)2 in Et2O solution. One of the Me2N groups of each (Me2NCH2)2C6H3 ring is coordinated to each of the gallium atoms in the As2Ga2 ring. Compound 1 is air and moisture stable.
