Abstract

In a recurring dream, Victor Lowenfeld and I walk through the art rooms of my life, followed by children eager to show us their work. The scene shifts to a school cafeteria where we discuss children and their art over milk and cookies. Amateur dream analysis suggests that I would love to share my experiences in the field with Dr. Lowenfeld, whose spirit has been central in shaping my thinking as an art teacher. Let me show you what I think it would be like to sit around a table with the father of modern art education as my special guest.
