Abstract
In 30 patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), we compared performance on a brief Telephone-Assessed Mental State (TAMS) examination with performance on standard cognitive instruments administered face to face. TAMS scores correlated strongly with scores on both the Mini Mental State Examination (p=0.81) and the Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale (p=-0.80).
