Abstract

The nonlinear absorption mechanisms of a porphyrin-squaraine-porphyrin macromolecule have been studied with femto/pico/nanosecond pulsewidths. Two-photon absorption of the macromolecule is ̃10× larger than the constituents and is explained by intra-molecular charge transfer.
