Tests of duality in the spin-structure function g1

Abstract

Although quark-hadron duality is well established for the spin-independent structure function, F2p, hardly any information is available on the low Q2 scaling behavior of spin-structure functions. Recent experiments at Jefferson Lab measured the spin-structure function g 1 in the nucleon resonance region for variety of targets. Global and local duality was observed for Q2 values above ≈ 2 (GeV/c) 2.
