Abstract

History of non-tillage burley tobacco production in Kentucky and its development were reviewed. Necessities, advantages, limitations, key technological breakthrough, and recent progress were discussed. Future development direction of conservation tillage practice for tobacco production in China was discussed based on the pattern of non-tillage tobacco production in the United States.
