Widiger provides his personal and professional life history particularly in relationship to his years during college and the development of his interest in and research concerning personality assessment. He begins with a presentation of his personal history and co-occurring collegiate history, noting in particular experiences that led to interest in personality assessment. This is followed by a section concerned with his perspective on personality assessment.
