Abstract
The return of an individual to function after an elbow dislocation depends on the resulting pathology. The involved structures determine the course of rehabilitation. If there is a concomitant fracture or neurovascular injury along with the elbow dislocation, the rehabilitation program should probably be longer and more conservative. If the anterior band of the UCL is intact and the elbow is stable after reduction, the rehabilitation program can progress more rapidly with minimal chance of reinjury.
