Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explain how the Ghana Football Association (GFA) can use their 2010 FIFA World Cup success as a means of fostering development in Ghana. The paper suggests the GFA should integrate corporate social responsibility (CSR) principles to witness this development. Furthermore, the paper also makes note of the value of stakeholder theory and encompassing competent managers if the GFA is to build off their 2010 FIFA World Cup achievement and see development come to fruition. Implications and future research direction are discussed.
